HP Touchscreen PC
Hewlett-Packard plans to release the newest in touch screen technology to the U.S. on or around July 13th of this year (2008). The PC responds to users tapping and streaking fingers across the screen, very similar to the highly acclaimed iPhone. The TouchSmart All-in-one is focused around music, movies, and photos but has all the applications of any other desktop computer.
The TouchSmart will be sold retail at $1,299 and will go on sale in 17 different countries. The TouchSmart is compatible with Windows Vista and developers are in no rush to adapt it to others operating systems such as the open sourced Linux.
